Upper school examination recorder
Location: Concert hall, Chemnitz Municipal Music School, Gerichtsstr. 1
Admission: free
In this concert Sophia Böhme plays her final examination in recorder. She can be heard both solo and in two different chamber music ensembles. The musical programme begins with a work from the 17th century for recorder, violin, violoncello and harpsichord, which leads through five centuries. Sophia Böhme then plays a baroque sonata and solo pieces. The concert concludes with a salsa for recorder and piano as fireworks for the ears.

DA CAPO - with the TUYA Klangwerk
Venue: Kraftwerk e.V., Kaßbergstr. 36, 09112 Chemnitz
Admission: 6 euros (including coffee and cake)
TUYA Klangwerk mainly uses instruments that were an integral part of the music of Mozart's time: Viola, violin, flute, horn. In their concerts and performances, the musicians transform momentary impressions and ideas into something musically audible. Musical skill, strong emotionality and a conceptual spirit are the recipe for expressive and impressive soundscapes and artistic messages.

Viva la musica
Venue: Chemnitz Opera House
Admission: 5 euros
In this special concert, music students perform together with professionals from the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra. The programme includes a cello concerto by Carl Stamitz, a recorder concerto by Antonio Vivaldi and the Bolero by Maurice Ravel. The colourful programme under the motto "Long live the music" also includes a harp ensemble, a project choir with folk song arrangements, a clarinet ensemble, a cello quintet, a guitar ensemble and, of course, the youth symphony orchestra with pieces from Leonard Bernstein's Westside Story.

Katharina Stettinius and Jonas Otte play music by Bach, Beethoven, Infante, Otte and Rachmaninoff on one and two pianos.

TIETZ sounds! Piano
Venue: TIETZ, stage in the foyer, Moritzstr. 20, 09111 Chemnitz
Admission: free
Piano students from young to old present their skills in this monthly series of events with a varied programme.
Old and new music for two to four hands will be performed.

Beetle concert - a day in the forest
For families with babies and toddlers
Venue: Concert hall, Chemnitz Municipal Music School, Gerichtsstr. 1
Admission: 1 to 3 euros (advance booking via music school)
Antonia, the lively lady bug and mascot of the early music education department, spends a day in the forest. With music and sounds to listen to and join in with, the youngest children experience a concert atmosphere in around 35 minutes. Various instruments such as the flute, harp, French horn, piano and cello can be heard from dawn to dusk.
The Beetle Concert is lovingly presented by children's ballet, pupils and teachers.

Kaleidoscope concert
Venue: Concert hall, Chemnitz Municipal Music School, Gerichtsstr. 1
Admission: 10 euros, reduced 5 euros
A matinee of English music presented by teachers from the Municipal Music School in collaboration with the Chemnitz Music Society.
The programme includes works by Henry Purcell, Matthew Locke, Edward Elgar, Benjamin Britten and others.
In various chamber music formations, such as guitar quartet, violin and piano, voice and piano, recorder and harpsichord, accordion and piano, clarinet quintet and a jazz trio, around 20 teachers will perform and demonstrate their skills in this varied concert.
