The Chemnitz region includes the Kreismusikschule im Kulturellen Bildungsbetrieb Erzgebirgskreis, the Musikschule Mittelsachsen and the Städtische Musikschule Chemnitz.
As the organisers have planned, this will give the regional "Jugend musiziert" competition greater visibility and recognition far beyond the region.

The DA CAPO Ensemble under the direction of Roswitha Oelsner has already delighted many music lovers with its music. The five ladies (Mrs Zimmermann, Mrs Wolf, Mrs Gagelmann, Mrs Schwörke and Mrs Oelsner) have performed at various music school events, retirement homes, birthday parties and club celebrations. They play classical music, waltzes, marches and folk songs. On 6 February, together with opera and concert singer Cornelia Strelow-Albert, they will delight music lovers with their music. The audience is invited to sing along.
