Musicollage - Strings

Admission: free
In this concert series, pupils can be heard playing their string instruments, from the violin to the double bass, both as soloists and in small groups. The young artists play classical and modern music.

DA CAPO - Musikcafé im Kraftwerk - "Jugend musiziert"

This music café welcomes music students from the Chemnitz Municipal Music School as guests. They are pupils who will all be taking part in the 2020 "Jugend musiziert" competition. They play as soloists or in small ensembles and impress the audience with their performances.

Christmas concert

Admission: 6 euros to 12 euros
At the traditional Christmas concert of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, ensembles and
ensembles and students from all subject areas and get the audience in the mood for the Christmas season.

This year, the Flitzebogenorchester will open with the well-known song: Wir sagen euch an, den lieben Advent. The plucked string orchestra, a clarinet ensemble, the accordion ensemble and soloists play Christmas carols from different countries. Choirs and the Sprechspielerei, as well as a band, have special musical surprises with improvisations in their programme.
