Christmas concert for early musical education: "We bid you merry Advent"
Venue: Concert hall, Chemnitz Municipal Music School, Gerichtsstr. 1,
Admission: free
A cheerful Christmas concert with songs, poems and dance from the Early Musical Education department with children from the Sprechspielerei, the Vokalinchen and dancers from the children's ballet at our music school.

Musicollage Early musical education
Venue: Concert hall, Chemnitz Municipal Music School, Gerichtsstr. 1,
Admission: free
Musicollage takes place every Wednesday in our large concert hall. In this concert, our youngest pupils present themselves and sing and play Christmas carols and short stories.

DA CAPO - Music café at the Kraftwerk
Venue: Kraftwerk e.V., Kaßbergstr. 36, 09112 Chemnitz
Admission: 6 euros (including coffee and cake)
Music students from the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, all of whom will be taking part in the 2019 "Jugend musiziert" music competition, will be guests at the music café. They have already mastered solo performances at several events.

Christmas concert
Venue: Chemnitz City Hall, Great Hall
Admission: 16.50 / 11 / 3.30 euros
Ensembles with pupils from the Chemnitz Municipal Music School and the Sächsische Sinfonieorchester Chemnitz e.V. perform together in the Great Hall of the Chemnitz Stadthalle. The children's choir, the youth symphony orchestra and the youth wind orchestra will perform excerpts from Engelbert Humperdinck's fairytale opera "Hansel and Gretel" and from Peter I. Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite" with the adult musicians from the Saxon Symphony Orchestra. There will also be lively Christmas carol medleys and two titles with rock band and symphony orchestra.

Symphony concert

Admission: 14 to 29 euros
Pupils from the Chemnitz Municipal Music School can take part in this symphony concert by the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra Chemnitz. In the work "Pied Piper" by John Corigliano, almost 20 young recorder players and several drummers will join the professional musicians on the big stage.

TIETZ sounds! Zither music
Venue: TIETZ, stage in the foyer, Moritzstr. 20, 09111 Chemnitz
Admission: free
As part of a foyer concert, young and young-at-heart zither players show many sides of the instrument. From early music to the often sound-painting literature of Impressionism to jazz. On this evening, not only solo pieces but also small ensemble pieces will be performed. The participants of the Saxon State Zither Orchestra cordially invite you to join them!
