In the December edition, the Musikcafé welcomes young talents from the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. The renowned "Jugend musiziert" competition is on the programme again next year and numerous young musicians will take the opportunity to present their hard-earned repertoire in the small setting of the Musikcafé. In addition to musical contributions, the pupils will also provide insights into the diverse life of the music school in a discussion with Nancy Gibson, Director of the Municipal Music School.

C THE ULTIMATE - A concert by the youth symphony orchestra of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School

With "C the Ultimate", the youth symphony orchestra is celebrating a musical festival in the Capital of Culture year. Following the successful "Ascending Bird" project, soloists will step into the acoustic spotlight alongside "classics" of orchestral music such as Bizet's "Carmen" and Williams' "Star Wars". Ronja Liebig, Anne Küffner and Cornelius Glanz will be performing and conducting. Stasya Timanovska and Corvin Kriesel will even perform their own works. Together with "Radial Taste Wokout", the cooking will be audible. A total work of art for the senses, including the sense of smell and taste, will be created as a unique experiment.

"Rock'n'Christmas" - The Christmas concert of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School

This year, the traditional Christmas concert of the Municipal Music School will shine in a special light. Under the motto "Rock 'n' Christmas", young musicians invite you to an upbeat concert with music from the genres of rock, pop and jazz. The pupils light up the stage with international Christmas songs. The musical spectrum ranges from contemplative melodies and swinging rhythms to catchy pop ballads and powerful jazz and rock.
Look forward to a pre-Christmas atmosphere in the Carlowitz Hall with the big band, the string band "Rock'n'Strings" and other bands and soloists.
