We are opening our doors for the Sprachencafé Chemnitz - an open, relaxed meeting format where people from different languages and backgrounds come together to talk, practise German and network.
As hosts, we are delighted to provide the space for this wonderful programme. The Language Café team is responsible for the organisation and content.

Fancy a special experience at the Gunzenhauser Museum?
Come to the children's preview and discover our new exhibition on the subject of food before everyone else! In the "Feinkunsthalle" you can playfully get to know art that deals with food: From cheese and cake paintings to giant chewing gums. Together we will explore the exhibition, which may remind you of a supermarket?
Children can visit the children's preview without an accompanying adult. As a parent or guardian, please fill out a consent form (see link to the event) in advance and send it to us, bring it with you or fill it out on the day of the event.

We cordially invite you to the workshop Pulp Art Part I - Designing with Paper Pulp for the exhibition "frank maibier. tritt tratt" on Saturday, 14 March, from 1 to 4 pm, at the Kunstsammlungen am Theaterplatz.
The second part of the workshop will take place on Saturday, 21 March, from 1 to 3 pm.
The two parts of the workshop build on each other and should be booked together if possible.
Frank Maibier is known for his subtle handling of materials and structures. He began with works on paper and developed a versatile formal language that extends to sculptural objects. During a short tour of the exhibition together, you will get to know some of his sculptural and expansive objects made of ceramics or wood, for example. Afterwards, in this first part of the workshop, we will get hands-on and learn the craft of pulp art. We will create our own decorative objects, vases, bowls and the like from papier-mâché. In the second part of the workshop, the dried unique pieces can be designed and painted.
Note: You are welcome to bring your own objects for moulding, such as bowls, dishes, plates, vases, etc.
The workshop is suitable for children and beginners.

Bring the day to a relaxed close in a special place: Every fourth Friday at 4.45 pm, you can experience yoga exercises in the exhibition rooms at the Gunzenhauser Museum under professional guidance. Yoga teacher: Mileen Rudelt
