Insects outside the terrarium, including feeding and touching. Some insects like to crawl and climb on people. Why not give them the opportunity?

The geological taxidermist - public guided tour for children and young people
No, a taxidermist is not a dinosaur! After travelling back in time to the Permian, you will find out how we prepare our finds, what scientists do with them and when an object actually ends up in the museum. Finally, you will become geological taxidermists yourselves.

Highlights of nature photography 2017
The Museum für Naturkunde Chemnitz presents the international photo exhibition in cooperation with the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre. It presents 87 outstanding nature photographs from all over the world. "The focus of this year's winning motifs was on Iceland," said the jury members.

DESIGNATUR GRAFIKUNDE
The many products of a 20-year dialogue between nature and design are presented in the exhibition. Posters, banners, books and digital media by graphic designer Evgeniy Potievsky invite you to browse and discuss.
