Interactive exhibition: Museum experience
A forest that stretches back 291 million years into the history of the earth and a permanent exhibition that has been standing for 20 years - time to change something in our museum! The stories about the life and death of our fossilised tree giants will be retold and much more from the collections will be brought to light. Over the past few years, children and young people have been thinking about what the museum should offer in the future. Using games, animated films and audio contributions they developed themselves, they brought prehistoric dinosaurs, scorpions and giant dragonflies to life for the experience level of the new permanent exhibition. The resulting interactive stations were tested by young and old. These change requests were implemented. Now it's time to discover, play and dream again.
Visiting the interactive exhibition: Erlebnisraum Museum is free of charge. A valid admission ticket is required for the tour of the permanent and special exhibition.

Experience box: Wolves - Back home in Germany
(for implementation in children's facilities)
We rarely encounter the shy wolf in the wild. With this experience box, children get to know them as a native wild animal and part of our nature. They playfully experience how the wolf is adapted to its habitat and test their nose in a scent memory.
A wolf mask is made as a creative finale. The experience box consists of a story, games and a creative activity and is suitable for children of primary school age.
The box can be ordered by e-mail: ehle(at)naturkunde-chemnitz.de or by phone: 0371 488-4555.
Costs: Basic material for games (5 euros per box) / creative activities (0.50 euros per person)
