SHOT WITH LIGHT - exhibition/vernissage, information & entertainment
Corresponding to the period of the First World War from 1914 to 1918, the Schlossbergmuseum/Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz is showing monthly exhibitions until November 2018 as part of the project "14-18 WAR WAS. Shared Memories" project, the Schlossberg Museum/Kunstammlungen Chemnitz is showing one photograph from its collection of historical images of the war every month until November 2018.
The image exchange will be accompanied by the ENT_Rüstet team. www.14-18warwas.de

Dmitrij Kapitelman: The smile of my invisible father
In his debut novel, the Berlin author and journalist tells the story of his father, his past in Kiev, his years in a Saxon asylum centre, the opening of a Russian speciality shop, his attempt to settle down in Berlin and a trip to Israel.

Feridun Zaimoglu reads from his Luther novel "Evangelio"
Moderation: Pastor Dorothee Lücke
Feridun Zaimoglu tells the story of a great German, a time of upheaval and the power and powerlessness of faith. The author is, in his own words, an "avid reader of the Bible" and loves Luther's robust language. He became famous with his book "Kanak Sprak", published in 1995. In addition to books, the German author of Turkish origin also writes theatre plays and screenplays, is a visual artist and curator and takes part in political debates.

Crime scene Erzgebirge: Eva Fürst reads from her psychological thriller "Der Mädchenflüsterer" and short thrillers under the title "Fifty shades of grave... finally no eroticism!"
Scurrilous and black-humoured short crime novels alternate with authentic cases and a bloody thriller. The Zwickau author Eva Fürst, alias Claudia Puhlfürst, writes crime novels and thrillers, works as an editor, proofreader, organises writing workshops and is the initiator of the "East German Crime Thriller Days".

Makerspace meets Paperspace - creative afternoon for young and old
The afternoon with do-it-yourself activities for the whole family offers inspiration to make and design beautiful things yourself.
Makerspace: 3D printing technology clearly explained +++ soldering LED cubes +++ making "tangible circuits"/LED torch +++ repairing defective items and devices yourself
Paperspace: small bookbinding workshop/making a notebook +++ paper making +++ writing like in the Middle Ages +++ jewellery made from origami figures +++ crafting and playing - storytelling with the shadow and Kamishibai theatre for children aged 4 to 8.

Read aloud: On quiet soles... Stories to listen to
read aloud for everyone with keen ears
When you are invited to the event "Auf leisen Sohlen..." in the city library, you have to be very quiet and prick up your ears, because the reading mentors come to visit and read out exciting stories. They take both young and older listeners into colourful fantasy worlds with great pleasure. The literature-loving readers read the latest children's books, classics, "bestsellers" from their own childhood or even texts they have written themselves in the atmospheric reading tent in the children's world. Admission to the reading sessions is free.
