14-18 WAR WAS, exhibition project "Shot with light"
Corresponding to the period of the First World War from 1914 to 1918, the Schlossbergmuseum Chemnitz is showing another photograph from its collection of historical images of the war, with expert support from the ENT_Rüstet team.

Deborah Feldman reads from her autobiographical story "Überbitten"
After the overwhelming success of "Unorthodox", in "Überbitten" Deborah Feldman lets us participate in her departure and her journey to a new self. Highly political and intimate at the same time, "Überbitten" is a polarising polemic and a critical self-interrogation. In conversation with her publisher Christian Ruzicska, Deborah Feldman will present her new book.

Concert: Sihasin - Songs of the Navajo Nation
Sihasin belong to the Navajo Indian tribe and are considered cultural ambassadors of their people. They maintain their traditions and are open to developments in a modern, contemporary culture. Behind the name Sihasin are musicians from the three-nation Benally family.
Grandfather Jones Benally has practised as a medicine man and healer in his homeland for over 50 years, but he was also a rodeo rider and actor.
Back in 1988, the three siblings Jeneda, Klee and Clayson Benally founded the band "Blackfire", which made a name for itself internationally and won the "Native American Music Award" three times with its music.

Hans Bollinger, On the road in Poland - encounters with people, their history and homeland
The Saarland educator and musician Hans Bollinger (*1949) has been committed to a partnership-based exchange with Poland for many years. His book "Unterwegs in Polen" is a tribute to this country with its people and landscapes. A country that had to experience three partitions, that was practically erased, that was always a pawn between East and West. But also a country whose people have repeatedly rebelled, fought for freedom and managed to preserve their identity. The reading with Hans Bollinger will be accompanied by his own songs.

Reading: Klaus Herbert, "Dietze does his thing"
In his book, Chemnitz author Klaus Herbert tells of the wondrous world of a pensioner. Retiree Dietze unexpectedly becomes interim managing director of his former company. The business and its employees immediately flourish, because now a real do-gooder is at the helm! But where will that lead?

Lecture: Dr Christian Wipperfürth, Russia has voted
Christian Wipperfürth studied history, politics and philosophy and worked for the European Parliament and the German Bundestag. After completing his doctorate at the Free University of Berlin, he was Assistant Professor of International Relations in St. Petersburg from 2001 to 2004. Wipperfürth writes about Russian foreign policy, German/European/Russian energy relations and Russian-Chinese relations. He blogs at cwipperfuerth.de

On quiet soles... Stories to listen to
read aloud for anyone with keen ears
Our reading mentors whisk young and old listeners away into colourful fantasy worlds. They read the latest children's books, classics, "bestsellers" from their own childhood or even texts they have written themselves in the atmospheric reading tent in the children's world.
Admission to the reading sessions is free.
