Makerspace meets Paperspace - creative afternoon for young and old
The afternoon of do-it-yourself activities for the whole family offers inspiration to make and design beautiful things yourself. In the Makerspace, 3D printing technology will be clearly explained and soldering kits and magic lamps will be made. In the Paperspace, there are hands-on activities relating to paper and writing: paper-making, a medieval writing workshop, origami-style animal carnival masks and storytelling with shadow and kamishibai theatre.

14-18 WAR WAS / exhibition project "Shot with light"
Corresponding to the period of the First World War from 1914 to 1918, the Schlossbergmuseum Chemnitz is showing another photograph from its collection of historical images of the war, with expert support from the ENT_Rüstet team.

Lothar-Günther Buchheim - on his 100th birthday:
Egon Börner reads from "Lothar Günther Buchheim. The Saxon in Bavaria"
Who was the man whom contemporaries hailed as a "boy wonder", whom his wife Diethild respectfully called "the Buchheim", whom a journalist labelled an "art pirate" and who wrote the novel "Das Boot"? The reading by Chemnitz author Egon Börner provides answers to these and other questions.

Reading competition of the German book trade / city competition
The winners from Chemnitz secondary schools and grammar schools read in front of a jury of teachers, booksellers and librarians to win the city competition, which also qualifies them for the district competition.
The German Book Trade Reading Competition has been organised annually since 1959 by the German Publishers and Booksellers Association in cooperation with bookshops, libraries, schools and other cultural institutions. It is organised under the patronage of the Federal President and is one of the largest nationwide competitions for schoolchildren. More than 600,000 children in Year 6 at all types of school take part every year at around 7,200 schools. www.vorlesewettbewerb.de

A puppet theatre freely adapted from the story by Martin Auer for children aged 5 and over.
The adventurous journey of a little girl who, in her boundless imagination, chases away the robbers, defeats the dragon, frees the prince and becomes a princess herself.

On quiet soles... Stories to listen to
read aloud for anyone with keen ears
Our reading mentors whisk both young and older listeners away into colourful fantasy worlds with great pleasure. They read the latest children's books, classics, "bestsellers" from their own childhood or even texts they have written themselves in the atmospheric reading tent in the children's world. Admission to the reading sessions is free.
