Europe - yours is my heart!
Adult education centre, Moritzstraße 20, 09111 Chemnitz, event hall
The Eurosceptic movement is growing. At the same time, initiatives are emerging that are sometimes vociferously in favour of a return to European cohesion. Do we in Chemnitz feel like Europeans? Are we attached to Europe? What does Europe mean to us? Are we part of Europe? And if so, which one?
On this evening, the citizens of Chemnitz are invited to enter into a dialogue with each other on these questions. Experts who are committed to the "idea" of Europe in politics, science and society will be on hand.
In the run-up to the event, you can also visit the exhibition "Europe, yours is my heart!", which was created in spring 2017 as part of a photo competition on the initiative of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. It shows interesting perspectives and angles on the topic of European identity and will be on display on the 4th floor of the TIETZ, Moritzstraße 20, from January 2018.

Opportunities and challenges of the changing world of work
Adult Education Centre, Moritzstraße 20, 09111 Chemnitz
We are undergoing a transformation to an information society. Some of this is reminiscent of the transition from an agrarian to an industrialised society, driven by technological progress with far-reaching social consequences. The world of work is changing: new professions, new forms of co-operation, different working rhythms and working conditions are emerging. The unknown, the new, did not yet exist. We are embracing this in order to master the future.
Why is that the case? Where will this lead us? How can we deal with new situations? We ask ourselves questions like these in the course and find possible answers.
