Anke Dilé Wissing spent her childhood in the Mark Brandenburg and Naumburg an der Saale. Her paintings and graphic works mainly focus on people and nature. With the LEAVES series, she is intensively involved with one of the oldest printing techniques, the physiotype.

At the end of the 17th century, before the print runs of books increased and etching was invented, this printing process was the usual printing method for the precise depiction of natural structures. A well-balanced and time-tested interplay of ink application and various preparations of the paper and printing boards, as well as the appropriate print thickness, produce the result the artist was aiming for.

An event organised by the Förderverein Botanischer Garten Chemnitz e. V.

"The air is thick here or the air is burning here" - who hasn't experienced this?

Thoughts, moods and actions influence the energy in rooms and get stuck there. In order to positively influence this again, the atmosphere can be purified by burning incense from plants. Incense can be used all year round, whether to cleanse the room, for relaxation or simply to create a relaxed atmosphere. In this course, we will make a herbal blend in our usual small, relaxed setting. Let yourself be surprised!

An event organised by the Förderverein Botanischer Garten Chemnitz e. V.

"Finite diversity" - a film screening with Andreas Winkler

The film contains a wealth of information about what is going on in our meadows, pastures and fields. Many nationally renowned experts such as the zoologist Josef Reichholf, the ornithologist Peter Berthold, the brain researcher Gerald Hüther and the author Wulf Kirsten have their say to help us classify the images and analyse the areas of conflict between land use and the preservation of nature and the landscape.
