45th Ore Mountains Tour
Location: Start/finish Einsiedler Brauhaus
The Erzgebirgsrundfahrt is the cycling classic of the region. The challenging race of the "Müller - Die lila Logistik Rad-Bundesliga" traditionally leads from the Einsiedler-Brauhaus over around 160 challenging kilometres through the Erzgebirgskreis and the district of Mittelsachsen to the finish line in Einsiedel.

CHEMLYMPICS
Location: Sportforum athletics multi-purpose hall
Since 2010, the Chemlympics - the special sports festival - for adults with disabilities has been held once a year in the athletics hall in Chemnitz.
It is a sporting test of strength in various disciplines: running disciplines as well as long jump, medicine ball throwing, archery and a wheelchair course.
The stations are supervised by volunteers.
More than 140 participants compete as recreational or competitive athletes. The highlight is the annual relay race between the participating organisations for the challenge cup. The relay team is accompanied and cheered on by the Chemnitz cheerleaders.
As in previous years, the Chemlympics are organised by a number of institutions for people with disabilities, such as SFZ Förderzentrum gGmbH, Lebenshilfe Chemnitz e. V., Stadtmission Chemnitz e. V., Heim gGmbH in cooperation with Stadtsportbund Chemnitz e. V. and Petra Liebetrau, the City of Chemnitz's representative for the disabled.
