Admission: 10 euros per person, registration required by 18 June by email to tierpark(at)stadt-chemnitz.de (Participation with a dog is not possible.)
Participants will not only learn exciting stories and interesting background information - they will also have the opportunity to consciously experience the special atmosphere of the place. During the tour, guests can enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings, the proximity to nature and the often very special atmosphere of this time of day. The stories, impressions and small discoveries along the way make the tour a varied experience that invites you to listen as well as to pause and marvel. The tour lasts approx. 90 minutes.
The tour is suitable for children aged 12 and over, but the offer is of course also aimed at adults.

Chemnitz Zoo cordially invites you to its big animal park festival on Saturday, 20 June. From 10 am to 5 pm, visitors can look forward to a varied programme for the whole family.
A very special highlight awaits our guests at the Tierparkfest 2026: together with the Saxon State Meeting "Schools make music", the zoo will become a musical stage. Ensembles from a wide range of genres will provide a lively and varied programme. But there is not only a lot to discover musically: exciting feeding sessions with commentary offer fascinating insights into the animal world and the work of the zookeepers. Numerous hands-on activities invite young and old to try out, learn and marvel.
A special part of the festival are also dedicated partners - including the city library, the smac - State Museum of Archaeology Chemnitz, the Wolfsscheune Rietzschen and the zoo's support association - who actively enrich the programme with their own activities and creative offers and provide additional highlights. Of course, there will also be plenty to eat and drink. Further details about the programme and the individual highlights will be published on the zoo's website as the planning process progresses.
