For many, many years, the Easter Bunny has been hiding countless Easter eggs in our wildlife enclosure on Easter Sunday. This year he has also announced his visit for Easter Sunday.
From 10 a.m., young and old can search for the eggs in the extensive game enclosure.
But please remember: many guests, young and old, want to find a few eggs. Please be considerate and do not leave the game reserve with full bags and sacks. The guests after you will be grateful.
Tickets can be purchased from 9am and the gates open at 10am. A little excitement is a must.

Spring marks the start of a very special time for many amphibians: the spawning season. Frogs, toads and newts make their way to their spawning waters to reproduce and lay the foundations for the next generation.
To mark this occasion, we cordially invite you to a short guided tour (duration 30 minutes) in our vivarium. You will learn exciting facts about the reproduction and development of amphibians - from spawn to tadpole to adult animal. We explain what special adaptations these fascinating animals have to their habitats and what role bodies of water play in their survival in spring.
The guided tour offers the opportunity to observe various amphibian species up close and learn more about their behaviour during the spawning season.

Open zoo school - we make seed bombs
Location: Chemnitz Zoo, Nevoigtstraße 18

Get creative, experience nature and actively do something for the environment: In the open animal park school, we invite young and old to make seed bombs together. Small balls are made from soil, clay and seeds, which can later create flowering habitats for insects.
During the crafting process, participants will playfully learn why flowers are so important for bees and other pollinators and how everyone can make a contribution to nature conservation with simple means. The self-made seed bombs can of course be taken home.
A hands-on programme for families, children and anyone who enjoys nature, creativity and sustainable ideas. Come along, join in and let it bloom colourfully everywhere soon!

Participants will not only learn exciting stories and interesting background information - they will also have the opportunity to consciously experience the special atmosphere of the place. During the tour, guests can enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings, the closeness to nature and the often very special atmosphere of this time of day. The stories, impressions and small discoveries along the way make the tour a varied experience that invites you to listen as well as to pause and marvel. The tour lasts approx. 90 minutes. The tour is suitable for children aged 12 and over, but the offer is of course also aimed at adults. Tickets can be purchased at the box office once registration has been confirmed.

With the days getting longer and longer and the extended opening hours adapted to this, evening tours can once again be offered at Chemnitz Zoo. What do the animals in the zoo actually do in the evening or at night? Who goes to sleep and who only really wakes up in the evening? These and other questions will be explored here.
The evening tours are suitable for children aged 12 and over, but the programme is of course also aimed at adults.
Please note: Tickets can be purchased at the zoo ticket office during regular opening hours (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in April) once registration has been confirmed.
