STADT-STEMPEL becomes MUSEUM-STEMPEL for the first time. Together with Studio pari-pari, we will stamp the museum and create new impressions of our impressions. Experience the fascination of stamping together, as your eyes search for special shapes, fonts or structures after a short introduction, in order to transfer them onto paper using modelling clay and stamping ink.

Quarantine: Telescope - Performative exhibition
Location: Museum Gunzenhauser
Young people on the cusp of adulthood and older people who have lived a long life have been asked to make something available for an exhibition at Museum Gunzenhauser - perhaps something they would be shocked to lose, something they would like to get rid of, something they have found and kept. Over three weeks, this evolving exhibition will be enlivened by a live dialogue in which "Quarantine" asks the lenders a series of questions that serve as a starting point for conversations that are by turns complex, funny, familiar, extraordinary - and deeply human.

Moving Boxes -Participatory Installation

Would Like To Meet - Open Artist Studio
Location: Museum Gunzenhauser
Would Like To Meet brings together five artists of different generations from Chemnitz and Manchester and asks them what questions they would ask each other. The artists, who work in the fields of textiles, ceramics, ikebana, visual arts, performance, photography and illustration, will move their studios to Museum Gunzenhauser, where they will be open to visitors.

Carlfriedrich Claus "On the edge of the now on the edge of the Hiers"
Location: Art Collections on Theatre Square
To mark the 30th anniversary of his installation, the exhibition invites visitors to discover Carlfriedrich Claus' cosmos of thought. Drawings and graphics visualise his exploration of the subconscious, while the reconstructed "sound process room" allows visitors to interactively experience pre-linguistic sounds.
Throughout his life, Carlfriedrich Claus was preoccupied with the human subconscious and the extent to which subconscious forces are reflected in written and spoken language. In continuous self-experimentation, he created drawings and prints that visualise thought processes and affective movements. From the 1980s onwards, he devoted himself to pre-linguistic sound experiments in the form of acoustic works that capture moments before semantic articulation. In 1995, Claus developed the so-called sound process room, in which visitors can control the sounds themselves through their movements. For the 30th anniversary, this installation is being reconstructed and, together with the works on paper, invites visitors to immerse themselves in the artist's extensive cosmos of ideas.

Quarantine: Art of Assembly - Artist Talk
Location: Museum Gunzenhauser
The Questions concludes with Florian Malzacher's The Art of Assembly. This project brings together artists, activists and thinkers in a long-term research endeavour to explore how and why it is important that we physically assemble - and what becomes socially and politically possible as a result, especially in a time of great uncertainty. In Chemnitz, the focus is on the topic of intergenerational assembly and the different layers of experience that a city carries within itself.
