Crafting for the 1st Advent - creative lanterns made from old glasses
Location: Chemnitz Zoo, Nevoigtstr. 18
Admission: regular admission to the zoo (adults 9.50 euros, concessions 5 euros)
For the 1st Advent, the Open Zoo School cordially invites you to a creative craft activity. With the help of the napkin technique, atmospheric lanterns are created from old glass jars - individual, colourful and perfect for the winter season. Whether with festive motifs, images of nature or completely freely designed: Each lantern is unique and brings a warm glow to the Advent season.
Upcycling involves transforming materials that would otherwise end up in the rubbish bin into something new and useful. This conserves resources, avoids waste and helps to protect the environment. Especially at the zoo, where nature and species conservation play a central role, the conscious use of materials is a valuable contribution to the preservation of our flora and fauna.
We ask you to bring clean, empty jars (e.g. jam, mustard or gherkin jars) for crafting. All other materials (napkins, glue, brushes, etc.) will be provided.
The event is aimed at families, children and anyone who enjoys crafting and is interested in sustainable design.
Further information about the zoo can also be found at www.tierpark-chemnitz.de.
