Alex is in his early thirties and in the middle of his doctoral thesis, in which he wants to analyse the East. Shortly after the Russian invasion begins in February 2022, Ukrainian pianist Sofiia flees her homeland to escape the war and finds refuge with Alex, who suddenly finds himself asking completely new questions about the East and the people in Ukraine and Germany. Robin Bergauf's novel takes a satirical and inquisitive look at German-Ukrainian coexistence in everyday life and the pressing social issues faced by its protagonists.

Photo exhibition VIP² - [Very Infectious Period; Very Important People]

The exhibition shows a selection of Manuela Haeussler's work and includes portrait photographs from the years 2019 to 2025, centred around a special project entitled "Around the world in 80 days - 2021", which shows photography during the pandemic.
On the one hand, it provides an insight into how a photographer dealt with the individual restrictions and challenges of the time and, on the other, snapshots of the lives of some people and musicians around the world.
