Event series "875 years of history in twelve months"
This year, the city of Chemnitz is celebrating its 875th anniversary. More than 100 events have already been organised to mark the occasion. A joint project by the Chemnitz History Society, the Chemnitz Saxon Industrial Museum, the Schloßberg Museum, the Chemnitz State Museum of Archaeology and the Chemnitz City Archive entitled "875 years of history in twelve months" is also honouring the city's history. Participation in the more than 20 individual events is free of charge. The project is sponsored by Chemnitzer Wirtschaftsförderungs- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (CWE).
