The armed Jewish resistance against the fascist genocide during the Second World War is rightly regarded as a symbol of the collective will to survive. The uprisings in the Warsaw Ghetto and in the Treblinka and Sobibór extermination camps were the high points of such self-assertion. However, Jewish resistance was broader.
