Capital of Culture// Workshop "Chemnitz City Culture"
Location: Chemnitz Adult Education Centre, Moritzstraße 20, 09111 Chemnitz
The open workshop is the right place for anyone who would like to find out about topics such as urban culture and urban development or exchange thoughts and ideas in a small setting together with experts. We meet at least three times in a relaxed atmosphere to exchange ideas and discuss. One or two ideas for Chemnitz's bid to become Capital of Culture 2025 could also emerge here!

STAT(D)T CULTURE: Chemnitz 2025 - European impulses for cultural strategy and Capital of Culture
Location: Chemnitz City Hall
Numerous German cities are applying for the title of European Capital of Culture 2025. The conference "STAT(D)T KULTUR: Chemnitz 2025" brings European impulses to Germany. A Capital of Culture application is based on a cultural strategy. It is about a self-image, basic principles and a recommendation for action for cultural development. By means of a structured strategy process, a completely new dynamic can be created that will advance the city per se. An objective discourse, based on the status quo, is conducted in dialogue with all participants. New insights and findings are derived and established structures can be re-evaluated on the basis of a strategic orientation.
European experts from Austria, Germany, Croatia, Bulgaria and Greece will discuss the idea of the European Capital of Culture and questions of cultural strategy.

Capital of Culture// Rosenhof Evening - "European Identity"
Location: Rosenhof (Open Air)
What actually is Europe? How is Europe visible and effective in Chemnitz? How do we perceive Europe here in Chemnitz, how European are we? And how do we identify ourselves within Europe? Where does our future lie? We would like to explore these and other questions in an exciting journey through Europe and Chemnitz. In the open air, experts will share interesting facts about the city, culture and Europe in the Rosenhof. In a relaxed atmosphere with music and culinary delights, you can discuss or simply enjoy the city together. The event is part of Chemnitz's bid to become Capital of Culture 2025 and serves to provide information and exchange ideas about Chemnitz's urban culture.
