Evening tours through the zoo

During the Saxon summer holidays from 10 July to 25 August, Chemnitz Zoo will once again be offering various activities. In addition to evening tours every Friday, short guided tours will be offered daily.
What do the animals in the zoo do in the evening or at night? Who goes to sleep and who only really wakes up in the evening? These and other questions are explored during the evening tours of Chemnitz Zoo every Friday.
The tour starts at 7.30 pm and lasts approx. 90 minutes. On 14 July, 28 July and 11 August, participation is suitable for children aged 6 and over. On 21 July, 4 August and 18 August, the minimum age for participation is 12 years. The programme is of course also aimed at adults.
Participation in the evening tours costs 10 euros per person and the number of participants is limited. It is therefore necessary to register at tierpark(at)stadt-chemnitz.de by 3 pm the day before. Tickets can be purchased at the Tierpark ticket office during regular opening hours once registration has been confirmed. For organisational reasons, there is no box office. Cancellations and participation with dogs are not possible.
During the summer holidays, a visit to Chemnitz Zoo is of course also worthwhile during the day. The park shines in lush green and there are one or two young animals to discover in the enclosures.
From Monday, 10 July, Chemnitz Zoo will once again be organising exciting short tours for young and old every day at 11 am. The tour starts with the pygmy hippos, followed by the flamingos on 11 July. All other guided tours can be requested at the ticket office and are also listed on the zoo's website.
In the Oberrabenstein wildlife enclosure, the popular show feedings take place again on weekdays at 11 a.m.: Mondays and Saturdays with the wolves and lynxes, Tuesdays and Fridays with the mouflons, Wednesdays with the bison and Thursdays and Sundays with the wildcats.
