Evaluation of the ring bus route 82
Passengers can submit comments until mid-January 2019
Bus route 82, the so-called ring bus route, has now been in operation for a year and is being re-evaluated. Due to the expansion of the ring bus stops by the end of 2019, but also due to other ongoing and planned construction measures along the route, the operation, impact and success of the line must be continuously monitored. To this end, passenger numbers and journey time profiles for route 82 are analysed, but direct feedback from passengers is also taken into account.
In order to continue to improve the line in the future, passengers are called upon to continue to provide open and detailed information. In this way, appropriate adjustments can be made. Comments on routes 82A and 82B can be sent to the email address nahverkehr(at)stadt-chemnitz.de until mid-January 2019.
At the end of January 2019, the information will then be pooled and discussed between the City of Chemnitz and CVAG in order to develop possible solutions and further improvements.
Since February 2018, the ring bus route has already been extended to include the route via the Sportforum and the municipal cemetery. Since then, it has been operated as a "real" ring in both directions during rush hour.
Bus route 82 was put into operation in December 2017 as a so-called ring bus route and a completely new public transport service in the city of Chemnitz with the aim of creating a faster connection between the city districts without having to change at the central bus stop.
CVAG purchased new vehicles for this purpose, hired new drivers and prepared the operational implementation. The City of Chemnitz's civil engineering department set up new stops, all of which will be barrier-free by the end of 2019.
Note: The comments received cannot be answered personally. However, all suggestions are taken seriously and will be used to improve the line after examination.
