European youth camp visits Chemnitz
Building musical bridges: Invitation to the final concert on 7 July, 6.30 pm, Great Hall in the Schloßbergmuseum
On Sunday, 7 July at 6.30 pm, the EU Office of the City of Chemnitz invites you to the final concert of the European Youth Camp 2024 in the Great Hall of the Schloßbergmuseum, Schloßberg 12. The audience can expect a pleasant summer evening with good music, cultural exchange and an encounter that builds bridges between the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 and Poland and the Czech Republic. Admission is free of charge. (Admission from 6 pm)

The concert by the young musicians is the ceremonial conclusion of the encounter programme and will be opened by the Saxon State Ministry of Justice and for Democracy, Europe and Equality and Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky.
Building bridges between the European Capitals of Culture Wroclaw and Chemnitz
A particular focus of the European Youth Camp 2024 is on building bridges between the European Capitals of Culture Wroclaw and Chemnitz. For this reason, the trip to Chemnitz from 5 to 8 July 2024 will mark the end of the camp.
The young people will visit the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, carry out team-building activities, make music together on site and give a concert with the programme they have developed at the end.
In this way, the city of Chemnitz will provide an insight into the upcoming 2025 projects, a rally in the library of Chemnitz University of Technology will provide incentives to study in Chemnitz and encounters with young people from Chemnitz will be made possible.
The European Youth Camp 2024 is a camp for music students from Poland and the Czech Republic at the invitation of the Saxon State Ministry of Justice and for Democracy, Europe and Equality. Young people from Poland and the Czech Republic meet in Saxony to make music together, experience Europe and learn the German language.
In addition to language courses at the Goethe-Institut Dresden e. V. and joint rehearsals, the young people can expect a varied programme to get to know each other, exchange ideas and discover new things. The camp has already been held in Dresden in the past two years with great success.
