European Environment Agency: "Well with Nature" photo competition

EU Office of the City of Chemnitz calls for participation

The European Environment Agency (EEA) has launched a photo competition on the theme of "Well with Nature". People aged 18 and over can submit their entries via an online form until 11.59 pm on 1 October 2022.

The photo competition aims to capture the positive effect of nature on people in the categories of air, water, land and sound. For example, pictures of forests and lakes are possible, but also of parks or houseplants on the windowsill. The aim of the competition is to raise awareness of environmental protection and nature conservation among the European population.

The winners in the four categories will receive prize money of 1000 euros and will be announced on 11 November 2022. There is also a youth prize and an audience prize of 500 euros each.
Conditions of participation:

  • Persons aged 18 or over from an EU country
  • Photos must be taken in a European country
  • Persons must have full copy right over the submitted photos
  • A maximum of five photos may be submitted, each with its own entry form
