European cities exchange ideas in Chemnitz
Reception by EU Coordinator on 27 April, 10 a.m., Grüner Salon, Town Hall
On Thursday, 27 April at 10 a.m., the EU Coordinator of the City of Chemnitz, Pia Sachs, will welcome participants in the EU project "Inspyred" from Chemnitz's twin city Mulhouse in France and from Varna in Bulgaria in the Green Salon of the City Hall. She will inform the guests about the history and EU work of the City of Chemnitz.
Representatives of the media are invited to attend. There will be opportunities for interviews and photos.
From 24 to 28 April, European representatives will meet in Chemnitz for a study visit as part of the Erasmus Plus project "Inspyred". The aim is to develop a platform for the exchange of information and experience between social workers, educators and young people from the three partner countries. The project has two components: Understanding sustainability as part of everyday life and passing it on to young people, as well as promoting and supporting the involvement of young people. The host is the solaris Förderzentrum für Jugend und Umwelt gGmbH Sachsen.
The project, which is funded by the EU Erasmus Plus programme, is managed by the socio-cultural centre "Jean Wagner" from Mulhouse. Together with a non-governmental organisation from Varna and solaris FZU gGmbH Sachsen, the project partners are working until July 2024 to get to know methods and develop a joint project with young people.
