Europe - yours is my heart!
Discussion with Prof. Uwe Götze and Ferenc Csák on Tuesday, 16 January, 7 pm
On Tuesday 16 January at 7 p.m., Chemnitz residents are invited to the TIETZ event hall to discuss questions about the European idea with Prof. Uwe Götze, Vice-Rector of Chemnitz University of Technology, and Ferenc Csák, Head of the City of Chemnitz Cultural Department. Admission is free.
The European idea is being shaken by the growing movement of Eurosceptics. At the same time, initiatives are emerging that are sometimes vociferously in favour of a return to European cohesion. Do we in Chemnitz feel like Europeans? Are we attached to Europe? What does Europe mean to us? Are we part of Europe? And if so, which one?
The event is a co-operation between the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre.
In the run-up to the event, you can also visit the exhibition "Europe, yours is my heart!?", which was created as part of a photo competition. It shows interesting views and perspectives on the topic of European identity.
