Europe to join in!
Simulation of the European Union on 20 October, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at TIETZ
The Chemnitz Adult Education Centre is co-organising a simulation of EU politics in the TIETZ event hall on Saturday, 20 October. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., young people and adults who fancy a new experience of EU politics are invited to slip into the roles of members of parliament, national heads of government or even a head of state. Admission is free.
Representatives of the media are also cordially invited.
Europe is in our midst. But do we actually understand EU politics? Do we realise how decisions are made in the EU? This simulation on EU politics makes it concrete and vivid!
The participants negotiate, discuss and decide on laws and directives. This is about loyalty and responsibility, about weighing up personal and political interests. The focus is on the experience of looking for compromises together, recognising the opposing position and making rational decisions.
The simulation is organised by the Young European Federalists (JEF) in Saxony in cooperation with the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre, among others.
