Europe, Capital of Culture & You - Your contribution to the cultural organisation of Chemnitz

Discussion event for young people - on 19 April, 4 pm, Weltecho Studio

On Friday, 19 April, from 4 to 8 pm, interested young people are invited to a discussion event in the Weltecho Studio on the occasion of the European Youth Week. In response to the results of the Chemnitz Youth Survey and the 1st Chemnitz Youth Meeting, the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH and the Coordinator for Child and Youth Participation of the City of Chemnitz, Katrin Günther, cordially invite young people from Chemnitz to share their wishes and ideas for the Chemnitz cultural scene.

Admission is free of charge. Registration at:

Together with experts, young activists and like-minded people, the aim is to discuss how culture in Chemnitz can be made even more diverse and appealing to young people. Inspiring insights from Europe, such as Ghent (Belgium), Bodø (Norway) and Tartu (Estonia), will show how young people can be actively involved in the cultural scene and bring about positive change. They will also learn about exciting youth projects from Chemnitz and see how they can become active themselves.

At the end of the event, everyone can send their message to Europe and at the same time see the messages of other young people from Europe at the "Voice your Vision" event under the motto "Europe calls and Chemnitz answers!".
A small after-party with snacks and drinks will round off the event with DJ Elemeks.
