EU project for immigrant academics
City of Chemnitz welcomes project participants to the town hall
With a project funded by the European Social Fund and the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs entitled "Bridge for Academics in Chemnitz", PROFIL Bildungsgesellschaft mbH is organising specialist training and job-related language training for migrants with an academic degree obtained abroad.
The participants from Syria, Russia, India, Pakistan, Tunisia and Hungary will be welcomed by Pia Sachs, EU Coordinator of the City of Chemnitz, on Wednesday, 5 October 2016 at 10 a.m. at City Hall. Pia Sachs will introduce them to the city of Chemnitz and the city's European work. During the subsequent tour of the town hall, they will receive further information on the history of the city.
The professional fields of the migrants include computer science, engineering, electrical and environmental engineering, maths, law and tourism.
Labour market coaching forms the bridge to the labour market. They are accompanied by the educational director of PROFIL Bildungsgesellschaft, Anja Herrmann.
