Environmental Centre: Unconditional basic income
The Environmental Centre invites you to a screening of the film "FREE LUNCH SOCIETY - komm komm Grundeinkommen" followed by a discussion on 1 February 2018 at 8 pm in the Metropol cinema. The ticket price is five euros.
About the content:
What would you do if your livelihood was taken care of? A few years ago, the unconditional basic income was still considered a pipe dream. Today, this utopia is more conceivable than ever - intensively discussed in all political and scientific camps.
From Alaska's oil fields to the Canadian prairie, from Washington's think tanks to the Namibian steppe, the film takes the viewer on a long journey and shows what the driverless car has to do with the ideas of a German billionaire and a Swiss popular initiative. The film FREE LUNCH SOCIETY by Christian Tod is the world's first cinema film about basic income and is dedicated to one of the most crucial issues of our time. It provides background knowledge on this idea and looks for explanations, possibilities and experiences for its realisation.
It is an event organised by the working group "Netzwerk bedingungsloses Grundeinkommen Chemnitz" of the Chemnitz Agenda 21.
