Enforcement notice instead of final reminder

Changed regulations in the dunning procedure from 15 February

From Thursday 15 February, the City of Chemnitz's Tax and Revenue Office will be changing its reminder procedure. The letter entitled "Last reminder before initiating enforcement proceedings", which previously followed a payment reminder, will no longer be sent. Instead, a notice of enforcement will be sent after an unsuccessful reminder.

The change will come into force with the next reminder run on 15 February and will only affect people who have not responded to previous reminders from the city.

Depending on the amount of the outstanding payment, fees of between 8 and 40 euros may be charged for reminders and enforcement notices. These fees are based on the applicable laws of the Free State of Saxony.

In order to avoid additional fees, it is strongly recommended that all existing payment obligations are always met on time. In the event of difficulties with payment, you should contact the responsible processor immediately.
