Emergency support for schools affected by closures
On the basis of the Schul-Kita-CoronaVO of 20 November 2021, emergency care is offered to a very limited group of parents in the event of partial or complete closure of primary schools. The Free State has defined areas for this (see overview).
For primary schools that have already been affected by a general closure order, childcare will be provided as follows
- GS Reichenbrandt, from Tuesday, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., Heinrich-Bretschneider-Straße 2 after-school care centre building (closure by general order).
There are also plans to set up emergency childcare for other facilities that may be affected.
Parents who need to make use of the emergency care must submit confirmation from their employer by Wednesday, 24 November 2021. Parents must confirm that one of the two legal guardians works in one of the areas listed in the overview and is unable to provide childcare due to official or professional reasons.
The form for proof can be found at www.chemnitz.de/coronavirus.
