Emergency housing assistance network founded in Chemnitz
The aim is closer cooperation across institutions
The Chemnitz Housing Emergency Assistance Network was founded in order to bring stakeholders in this area even closer together. The City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office and housing emergency assistance providers have developed guidelines for this in recent months, which came into force on 1 March 2022. This marks the official start of the network's work.
The members represent the interests of people in housing emergencies in particular. The aim of the network is to facilitate specialised cooperation and networking between different areas of emergency housing assistance. The joint work focuses on the prevention of homelessness, the accommodation of homeless people and the (re-)integration of those affected into their own homes.
The network is open to other participants. In addition to specialist departments and authorities, representatives of institutions, organisations, landlords and city authorities involved in emergency housing assistance can also participate.
Interested parties can register or send questions to the network at netzwerk.wohnungsnotfallhilfe(at)stadt-chemnitz.de.
