Educators from Europe in Chemnitz as part of the EU CoCo+ project
Visit on Wednesday, 19 September, 9 a.m., in the town hall, Grüner Salon
On Wednesday, 19 September at 9 a.m., international educators involved in the EU project CoCo+ will visit Chemnitz City Hall to find out more about the city and about European work in Chemnitz. Coco+ is a European project on transition processes and interfaces between school and vocational training. Representatives of the media will have the opportunity to talk to those involved in the Green Parlour.
Solaris Förderzentrum für Jugend und Umwelt gGmbH Sachsen is working on the CoCo+ project under Norwegian management with partners from Hungary, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Portugal. Companies from the participating regions are also involved. The basis is formed by scientific or technical school competitions, which are seen as a good way of getting pupils interested in specific topics at an early stage. Apprentices take on the role of mentors and at the same time promote their profession.
On Friday, 21 September, the German Solar Model Vehicle Championship will take place on Neumarkt during Mobi Day for European Mobility Week from 11 am to 4 pm. Around 30 pupils from the participating countries will take part. Around ten representatives of the project partners will also be on site. The "solaris-CUP Saxony" is one of the competitions that serves as a role model for the European partners.
