Education fair and school theatre week - dates for Chemnitz pupils, parents and teachers also in the 2013/2014 school year
The fixed dates for pupils, parents and teachers in Chemnitz in the new 2013/2014 school year again include the city's 4th education fair, which is held in late autumn, and the 16th edition of the Chemnitz School Theatre Week, which is scheduled for spring 2014.
Education fair: This year's 4th Education Fair of the City of Chemnitz will take place on Saturday, 9 November 2013 from 10 am to 1 pm in the foyer of the New Lecture Hall Building of Chemnitz University of Technology, Reichenhainer Straße 90. As in the past three years, representatives from secondary schools and grammar schools will once again have the opportunity to present their schools' programmes at information stands, provide information about their schools' educational programmes and talk directly to parents and pupils in years 3 and 4. In addition, pupils transferring from secondary school to grammar school or from grammar school to secondary school will be supported in their choice of school.
In addition to the municipal schools in Chemnitz, the Waldorf School Chemnitz, the Evangelical School Centre Chemnitz and the Montessori School Chemnitz - Free Integrative School will once again be represented with information stands at the 4th Education Fair following the successful premiere last year.
The Saxon Education Agency, Chemnitz Regional Office, the Chemnitz District Pupils' Council and Chemnitzer Verkehrs AG will also be present at the 4th Education Fair.
Over the past three years, the programme of the education fair has developed steadily and the number of participants has also increased. The extremely pleasing and almost overwhelming number of visitors is reason enough for the city of Chemnitz to continue the education fair in the 2013/2014 school year.
School Theatre Week: For the committed organisers of the successful School Theatre Week in Chemnitz - which is run jointly by the City of Chemnitz/School Administration Office and Städtische Theater Chemnitz gGmbH - planning and preparation for the 16th Chemnitz School Theatre Week has long since begun. After all, the time after a (successfully completed) school theatre week is also the time for the start of an extensive period of preparation for the next edition.
The 16th School Theatre Week will be held in Chemnitz from Sunday, 23 March to Friday, 28 March 2014, and the tender documents were sent out to the schools at the beginning of July 2013. The jury is already eagerly anticipating the numerous applications from school theatre groups from schools in Chemnitz and the surrounding area. The closing date for applications is 22 November 2013 and, as in previous years, there will be a jury tour with a final jury decision to select the performances presented in Chemnitz for the 2014 School Theatre Week.
