Easter in the Petrified Forest

On Thursday, 14 April, 10 am to 4 pm, the "Petrified Forest" at the Chemnitz Museum of Natural History will be transformed into the hiding place of the Chemnitz Ursaur. Participation is free of charge. Registration is not required.
Interested visitors of all ages can go in search of special Easter eggs at the Museum of Natural History on this day. The small prehistoric dinosaur Ascendonanus nestleri has hidden a clue to a riddle in them. Visitors can go on a tour of discovery throughout the museum and look out for the little guy. There are letters on all of the colourful, prehistoric eggs that need to be put together to form a solution word. Whoever has found all the Easter eggs at the end of their visit and determined the solution word will receive an Easter greeting to take home.
The insectivorous tree climber Ascendonanus nestleri is a lizard-like pelycosaur that was found during excavations in Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf. This prehistoric dinosaur lived in the trees of the Permian Forest and hunted insects. With its claws and long tail, it was able to wrap itself around the branches of the trees and thus move safely through the treetops.
The event is subsidised by the European Social Fund (ESF). Based on the funding guidelines, it is necessary to record the residential address of the visitors, but not their names.
