On Easter Sunday, 20 April, the traditional Easter egg hunt will once again take place in the Oberrabenstein game reserve. The Easter bunny has been hiding countless Easter eggs there for many years. This year, he has announced his presence once again.
Tickets can be purchased from 9 am. The gates to the game reserve will then open at 10 a.m. and young and old can search for eggs in the extensive grounds. Please be considerate of each other: Please only take enough eggs with you to leave some for other guests.
The Easter Bunny will also be out and about at Chemnitz Zoo on Easter Sunday. If you're lucky, you might even meet him in person with his basket. He has little Easter surprises for the children.
Evening guided tour of the zoo on 26 April, 7 p.m.
With the days getting longer and longer and the extended opening hours adapted to this, evening tours are once again being offered at Chemnitz Zoo. The evening tours are suitable for children aged 12 and over, but the offer is of course also aimed at adults. Participation with dogs is not possible.
The first evening tour will take place on Friday 26 April at 7 pm. What do the animals in the zoo actually do in the evening or at night? Who goes to sleep and who only really wakes up in the evening? These and other questions will be explored. The tour lasts approx. 90 minutes.
Participation costs 10 euros per person and the number of participants is limited. Pre-registration at tierpark(at)stadt-chemnitz.de is required by 3 pm on 24 April. Tickets can be purchased at the Tierpark ticket office during regular opening hours after registration has been confirmed. Cancellations are not possible.
