Drinking fountains are put back into operation

On Tuesday 22 March at 1 pm, the three municipal drinking fountains will be put back into operation after their winter rest. Mayor Michael Stötzer will accompany this at the drinking fountain at the town hall (corner of Markt/Neumarkt).
Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend.
The commissioning takes place on the occasion of World Water Day, which has been held annually on 22 March since 1993. On this day, the topic of water as the basis of all life on earth is emphasised internationally with a variety of campaigns. In particular, the issues of secure access to clean drinking water and water as a habitat are the subject of many of these campaigns.
In addition to the drinking fountain at the town hall, the city of Chemnitz also operates facilities in the Park am Roten Turm and am Wall. These will also be providing drinking water again from Tuesday.
