Double portrait concert of the composers Torsten Reitz and Thomas Stöß
On Friday, 7 April 2017 at 7.30 pm in the New Concert Hall of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School
In co-operation with KlangNetz Dresden, the Sächsischer Musikbund e.V. presents annual portrait concerts of composers based in Saxony. This year, the compositions of Torsten Reitz (Dresden) and Thomas Stöß (Chemnitz) will be presented.
The renowned new music ensemble El Perro Andaluz will perform the concert together with students from the Dresden University of Music.
The composers will have the opportunity to talk about their works in a moderated discussion. The programme includes chamber music works in various original instrumentations.
Both composers have been teaching at the Städtische Musikschule Chemnitz for many years, but their creative work takes very different paths, so that those who are curious can look forward to a varied evening with several world premieres.
Tickets are available at the box office for 6 euros or a reduced price of 5 euros.
