Young people can apply or register for free travel vouchers
From Tuesday 11 October, young people aged 18 (as of 1 January 2023) from an EU Member State or a third country associated with Erasmus+ can once again apply for a free travel pass: DiscoverEU
The application deadline is 25 October, 12 noon.
DiscoverEU enables young people to travel within Europe for 30 days between 1 March 2023 and 29 February 2024. In addition to the Travel Pass, selected participants will receive the DiscoverEU discount card, which offers discounts on public transport, sports, food and accommodation, among other things: EYCA
A total of 35,000 Travel Passes will be awarded across the EU. To win a passport, participants must answer five pre-selected questions about the EU and other EU initiatives as well as a random question. The travel passes will be awarded according to a ranking list. Applications can be submitted individually or as a group of up to five people.

Young people from Saxony over the age of 18 can now register for the Saxorail campaign. The registration deadline is 31 October.
Just in time for the European Year of Youth, the Saxon State Ministry of Justice and for Democracy, Europe and Equality (SMJusDEG) is launching the "Saxorail" zero-euro ticket. This year, 150 tickets will be raffled off to young Saxons aged between 18 and 27. The winners will be able to personalise their trip through Europe alone or together with a person of their choice.
The "Saxorail ticket" is valid from March to October 2023 for a self-determined period of one month on seven travel days. In addition to the free "Interrail Passes" for those selected, the "Saxorail Ticket" also includes a travel subsidy of 250 euros per person, which can be used, for example, to pay for reservations and supplements. This can be used to pay for reservations and supplements for European high-speed trains such as "Eurostar" or "Thalys".
Anyone wishing to win the ticket must register for SAXORAIL via the SMJusDEG website. Those registered will automatically be entered into the prize draw for the tickets.
