Dialogue about planned intervention area at the railway viaduct
Public participation event on 7 February, 4.30 pm at Weltecho
On Tuesday, 7 February at 4.30 pm, interested citizens are invited to a participation event at Weltecho, Annaberger Straße 24. The topic is the intervention area "Bahnviadukt an der Beckerstraße", which is to be created as part of the Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 under the motto "Stadt am Fluss".
Representatives of the City of Chemnitz, the Chemnitz Mitte citizens' platform and the planners of the project will present the current status and would like to enter into dialogue with future users and interested parties.
After this date, the planning is to be finalised in 2023 so that the tendering process for the construction work can begin. Once Deutsche Bahn has cleared the site, construction of the intervention area should then begin in 2024.
