DialogART: 28 artists from eight countries
Exhibition opening on 21 November at the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre
On Thursday 21 November at 5pm, the DialogART exhibition featuring works from Chemnitz's international contemporary art scene will open at the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre on the 4th floor of the TIETZ. Admission is free.
It is widely known that Chemnitz is a place with a special affinity for art and is now considered an "insider tip among art connoisseurs". The fact that the city also offers international contemporary artists a new home and stage is more hidden.
With the DialogART exhibition as part of the "Neue HeimART" project, 28 artists from Germany, Iraq, Iran, Italy, Portugal, Russia, the Czech Republic and Ukraine have set themselves the task of showing precisely this since 2013 and have worked together to realise this extraordinary international project.
In a dialogue with the public, pioneering positions of international artists who live and work in Chemnitz and the surrounding area are presented. The third exhibition of this kind is intergenerational and extremely diverse, as the almost one hundred works come from very different categories. The artists represent the art genres of painting, graphics, photography, sculpture and mixed media.
The exhibition is organised by "Beseder" e. V. in cooperation with the adult education centre under the patronage of Etelka Kobuß, the city of Chemnitz's migration officer.
It can be seen until 10 January 2020 during the opening hours of the VHS.
