Development of the Bornaer Höhe housing estate - 500,000 euros invested in construction project by ESC, eins energie and civil engineering office
Connection to central sewerage system, renewal of natural gas and drinking water pipes, basic road construction Information from the traffic authority on full closure and diversion from 3 June
Between 27 May and 15 November 2013, extensive construction work will be carried out in the area of Paul-Fischer-Weg and Wittgensdorfer Straße on behalf of the City of Chemnitz waste disposal company, the City of Chemnitz civil engineering department and eins energie in Sachsen GmbH & Co. KG to lay a sewer and renew natural gas and drinking water pipes, including road construction.
Once the construction work in Wittgensdorfer Straße has been completed, the properties in Paul-Fischer-Weg will be connected to the city of Chemnitz's central sewerage system. In addition, the natural gas and drinking water pipes are to be renewed and the road is to be extended.
The total construction costs amount to around € 500,000. The company VSTR GmbH, Rodewisch, has been commissioned to carry out the construction work.
Information from the traffic authority:
Full closure: In order to carry out the construction work, Wittgensdorfer Straße between Horst-Vieth-Weg and Paul-Fischer-Weg must be fully closed to traffic from Monday, 3 June until probably Friday, 5 July 2013.
Diversion route: The diversion route is via Wittgensdorfer Straße/Bornaer Straße/Chemnitztalstraße/Untere Hauptstraße/Chemnitzer Straße (Wittgensdorf).
Pedestrians will be guided safely past the construction site, for the construction work in Wittgensdorfer Straße partly via an emergency footpath.
Public transport: The line 46 Glösa-Wittgensdorf will be diverted, whereby the Bornaer Höhe housing estate will continue to be served via a replacement stop at Horst-Vieth-Weg. Further information can be found on the CVAGwebsite (www.cvag.de).
