Development of Rottluff-West industrial estate
Start of construction from 12 October
Construction work for the development of the Rottluff-West industrial estate will begin on 12 October 2015 to provide additional attractive commercial space in the city of Chemnitz.
This involves the areas between Rottluffer Straße and Kalkstraße on the site of the former nursery. Thanks to its location directly next to the Rottluff/Rabenstein motorway junction and Kalkstraße, the site has excellent connections to the national and urban transport network. The total size of the industrial estate to be developed is approximately ten hectares.
The industrial estate will be connected to Kalkstrasse by a spur road with a turning circle. All necessary media such as wastewater, rainwater, drinking water, gas, energy supply, communications and city lighting will be laid in the approximately 300 metre long access road in coordination with the utility companies. Rainwater will be channelled into the Rabenstein stream below the access road.
Visible construction activities can be expected from the 43rd calendar week of 2015. Prior to this, the construction site will be set up, evidence secured and preparations made for construction.
With the development of the Rottluff-West industrial estate, commercial space in a convenient location will be available at the end of 2016. In addition to smaller commercial plots from 3,000 square metres, areas of up to 19,000 square metres are also available. Chemnitzer Wirtschaftsförderungs- u. Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH is responsible for marketing and is already holding initial talks with investors.
The construction volume of the project amounts to around 1.3 million euros. The project is being funded by the federal and state governments to the tune of 85 per cent as part of the joint task "Improvement of the regional economic structure". HSE Bau GmbH from Glauchau was commissioned with the realisation of the development measures.
