On Monday 2 November at 6.00 pm, Mayor Knut Kunze and the Head of the Fire Service, René Kraus, will once again honour deserving members of the volunteer fire brigades. The ceremonial event, to which the honourees and their families are invited, will take place in the Town Council Chamber at the Town Hall.
Media representatives are also welcome.
Every year in November, the commendable work of members of the volunteer fire brigades and the civil protection service in Chemnitz is given special recognition. This year, 34 members of the volunteer fire brigades will be honoured for their many years of dedicated voluntary service.
