On Friday, 7 November at 6 p.m., the City of Chemnitz will once again honour deserving members of the volunteer fire brigades. The festive event, to which the honourees and their families are invited, will take place in the City Council Chamber of the Town Hall.
Representatives of the media are also welcome.
Every year in November, the meritorious work of members of the volunteer fire brigades and civil protection services in Chemnitz is honoured. This year, Mayor Knut Kunze and the Deputy Head of the City of Chemnitz Fire Department, Rainer Walter, will honour 36 members of the volunteer fire brigades for their many years of dedicated voluntary service. The event is expected to be attended by 27 people, nine people have cancelled their participation.
