Deserving firefighters are honoured

Honours event on 8 November, 6 p.m., City Council Chamber, Town Hall

On Friday, 8 November at 6 p.m., the City of Chemnitz will once again honour deserving members of the volunteer fire brigades. The festive event, to which the honourees and their families are invited, will take place in the City Council Chamber of the Town Hall.

Representatives of the media are also welcome.

Every year in November, the meritorious work of members of the volunteer fire brigades and civil protection services in Chemnitz is honoured. This year, Mayor Knut Kunze and René Kraus, Head of the City of Chemnitz Fire Department, will honour 20 members of the volunteer fire brigades for their many years of dedicated voluntary service. It is expected that 15 people will be present at the event, four people have cancelled their participation and one person has passed away.
