Democracy for tomorrow. Roadmap to save the world

Book launch on 12 November, 7 p.m., event hall at the TIETZ

Tomorrow, Tuesday 12 November, 7 to 8.30 pm, the book entitled "Demokratie für morgen. Roadmap to save the world" will be presented. Ralf-Uwe Beck, spokesperson for the federal board of Mehr Demokratie e.V., will give a talk followed by a discussion.

The evening will focus on these questions: What kind of democracy do we need to meet the challenges of the 21st century? How can the 300-year-old model of democracy be modernised and further developed?

In his book, author Karl-Martin Hentschel, who is unfortunately unable to attend the event, takes a global view and analyses modern societies: How can we succeed in limiting the (over)power of international corporations, the consequences of climate change, the domination of conflicts and growing social inequality worldwide?

The book also shows that there are already solutions to many current challenges that work on a small scale and need to be put on a broader footing with political will.

This event is a co-operation between weiterdenken - Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Sachsen and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre.
